Supporting Users Overview

You may need to support users as they get started with Authorium or if they run into issues logging in, resetting their password, switching between organizations, or completing other basic tasks.

Topics in this section:

  • Accepting an Authorium Invitation

  • Setting Up an Authorium Profile

  • Logging In

  • Logging Out

  • Managing a User Profile and Password

  • Switching Between Organizations

Accepting an Authorium Invitation

When a user is invited to Authorium, they will receive an invitation email. They should follow the instructions in the invitation email or select Accept Invitation to be taken to the profile set up screen in Authorium.

The user may instead receive an invitation via Microsoft Entra or another identity management software used by your organization. The process for accepting these invitations and setting up an Authorium profile is the same.

Setting Up an Authorium Profile

To set up an Authorium profile, regardless of how the user is invited, whether by email or through an identity manager like Entra:

Accept the invitation to be taken to the profile set up screen in Authorium.

Fill in:

  • Name

  • Job title

  • Password (must meet your organization’s password requirements)

Select Complete Account Creation.

If an SSO method such as Entra ID has been set up for the overall account, then the user will be asked to enter their SSO credentials. If not, they will be logged in.

Logging In

Once a user has accepted the invitation and entered their basic information, they can access the Authorium app at app.authorium.com.

To log in to the Authorium app:

Navigate to app.authorium.com in a web browser.

Enter the user’s email, then click Next.

Depending on whether your organization has SSO set up, finish signing in with either SSO or the user’s password.

If multi-factor authentication is set up, the user will also need to enter the code sent to their other account or device.

When they are finished logging in, they will be taken directly to the Projects page.

Logging Out

To log out of the Authorium app at any time, click on the three-dots menu next to the user’s name and email in the main navigation bar, then select Logout.

Managing a User Profile and Password

If a user ever wants to change their password or the profile information that they entered when they first set up their account, they can do that from the profile menu.

To access the profile menu and change the user’s password or profile information, starting from the Dashboard:

Click on the three-dots menu next to the user’s name and email in the main navigation bar.

Select Profile.

From the Profile tab, edit profile options, such as name and job title.

Change the password and activate additional security measures such as MFA or email codes by following the instructions in the Password tab.

Confirm changes.

Switching Between Organizations

In some cases, a user might be a member of two different organizations in Authorium.

A user can only access Authorium from a single organization at a time, so they may need to switch between profiles at different times. The user can always see what organization they are are accessing Authorium through by looking at the organization name and logo in the main navigation bar.

To switch to a different organization, the user should select Switch Organization in the main navigation bar, then choose the organization they want to switch to.
